1. About Medobo
Medobo is a medical knowledge application designed for healthcare professionals, students, paramedical staff, and general users who want to understand how medicine works.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Medobo. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement. Healthcare professionals using Medobo for clinical reference do so at their own professional judgment and responsibility.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You must not share your account credentials with others.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Medobo only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial educational purposes. You must not:
- Use the app to provide medical advice to others as a qualified professional
- Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or tamper with the app or its backend
- Upload, post, or transmit any harmful, offensive, or misleading content
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or scrape content from the app
- Impersonate any person or organisation
- Use the app in any way that could damage, overload, or impair our systems
5. Copyright & Intellectual Property
All content within Medobo is the exclusive intellectual property of Medobo and its content creators. This includes but is not limited to:
- Drug profiles and Pharma Vault content
- Lab investigation profiles
- Disease articles and MedCore content
- Terminology dictionary entries
- Clinical Sense cases and quiz content
- AI-generated and human-curated medical summaries
- App design, layout, graphics, icons, and user interface elements
The following are strictly prohibited without prior written permission from Medobo:
- Copying, reproducing, or duplicating any part of the app content in any form
- Publishing, distributing, or sharing app content on any other platform, website, or medium
- Translating app content and publishing or distributing the translated version
- Adapting, modifying, or creating derivative works based on Medobo content
- Using Medobo content for commercial purposes including training AI models or creating competing products
- Screenshotting or recording app content for the purpose of redistribution
Personal, non-commercial reference use of individual pieces of information for your own learning is permitted.
6. Medical Disclaimer
- Do not make clinical decisions solely based on content found in this app
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions
- Drug dosages, reference ranges, and clinical guidelines in this app may not reflect the most current updates — always verify against current prescribing information
- Medobo accepts no liability for any clinical outcome, harm, or loss resulting from the use or misuse of content in this app
7. Subscription & Payments
- Medobo offers a free tier with limited content and advertisements, and a paid premium tier with full access
- Subscription fees are charged through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's billing terms
- Subscription renewals are automatic unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Refunds are governed by Google Play's refund policy
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice to users
8. Advertisements
Free tier users will see advertisements. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements displayed within the app.
9. Third-Party Services
Medobo uses third-party services including Google Sign-In and Supabase. Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
10. Content Accuracy
We make every reasonable effort to ensure the accuracy of medical content in Medobo. However, medicine evolves continuously. We do not guarantee that all content is current, complete, or error-free. If you identify an error, please use the Report Issue feature within the app.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Medobo and its developers shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app
- Any clinical decision made based on content in the app
- Any loss of data, revenue, or opportunity
- Any harm arising from third-party content, advertisements, or services
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to Medobo at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct we determine to be harmful to the app, its users, or its content integrity.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of Medobo after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Medobo shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
